Leatherman Skeletool:
The Lightweight Multi-Tool You'll Actually Use |
 |
First things first: Leatherman’s new multi-tool has an incredible name—Skeletool. It even looks skeletal. The bare, stripped-down aluminum frame is stylish and the business. The Skeletool is Leathermans greatest idea come to life. It’s the multi-tool you and other offshore workers will actually use and carry around with you.
With less useless functions and only the essential features a working user will need. It contains a knife, screwdriver, pliers and a bottle opener. It's not a tool for trendy bush hikers wanting to impress their weekend warrior mates. As we said the Skeletool is the business and its highly functional.
At 142grams this is lighter than a Kate Moss Lunch, and the lightest full-size Leatherman multi-tool ever. The Skeletool has a stainless steel blade and bottle opener that are accessible when the tool is closed. We cant stress enough how handy that is. It’s Skeletool's bottle opener that you need to get to, repeatedly, in various states of mind. When it comes to multi-tool design, Leatherman simply gets it. | The Skeletool is something that looks rigid and unyielding, yet the Skeletool feels almost cushy to hold. The Skeletool’s design is asymmetrical, sloping slightly when it’s closed, and curving to fit the shape of your hand when open.
There are tiny design updates crammed into every millimetre of the Skeletool’s design. Like the fact that the screwdriver isn't hinged and tucked away, but in a fixed position, ready to be used as soon as you open the tool. And the extra double-sided bit fits into the handle, giving you a total of four bit sizes (two flathead and two Phillips).
We reckon you will be pretty stoked with this latest mutli-tool. Its looks amazing and is totally suited to Offshore workers.
This will sell like $20 barrels of oil, its due out in Jan 2008 so email us with your interest in the Skeletool so we can get it to you.
